My private wine tastings, in the comfort of your home or chosen venue, let you dive deep into the stories behind the bottle. I cater to all levels of expertise in a friendly, inclusive format, from the wine beginner to the connoisseur.
Each tasting is completely tailored and personalized to your preferences. Choose to focus on certain styles, regions, or themes so your educational tasting aligns with your tastes and interests. Or, if you’d rather a roulette approach, I can pick a range of some of my favourite wines of the moment, keeping your budget in mind.
I believe that happiness —and therefore wine — is better shared. I will meet your palate where its at and not gate keep the world of wine, as is often the case in this industry. Whether it’s for date night or a gathering of colleagues, let’s make our time together worth cheers-ing.
How It Works
Tastings start at $100/hour, excluding the cost of wines and venue rental, if required. Your tasting date is reserved with a 50% non-refundable deposit, although this deposit can be transferred to a different date in extenuating circumstances. Payments made via e-transfer have no additional fee, while credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% transaction fee. The remaining amount is due on the day of your tasting. This payment covers the wine education session, provision of glassware, acquiring a liquor license (if the venue is not a private residence), and all planning/shopping time.
I partner with local, specialty wine stores to sort the purchase of wines for your tastings. AGLC stipulates that I cannot purchase the wines on your behalf, but I will work with you to choose wines according to your theme, preferences and budget to determine a lovely selection that will be ready for your event. Payment for the wines can be done with the liquor store online or over the phone for me to then bring to your event, or you can pay in person and bring the wines to your tasting yourself.
If desired, I can add a charcuterie platter from a local provider (I work with Italian Centre and Art of Charcuterie) to enhance your tasting for an extra cost.

I am also available for hire as a wine pourer for private or public wine events.
